An outstanding Multi Academy trust are looking to appoint a special needs (SEN) teacher (Key stage 2 upper) to start in September 2019. The position is full time and is a long term role which will involve working until the end of the academic year; however this could result in a permanent position for the right candidate.
The trust runs across 4 sites based in Oldham. Sites cater for individuals between 4 - 19 with a Statement of SEN or an EHCP, on the autistic spectrum and/or have significant communication and interaction difficulties and social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH).
The role will involve working within the School's ASC base so it would be advantageous for the Teacher to have an in-depth understanding of how to cater for pupils with ASC.
The ideal teacher will have:
- Qualified Teacher Status
- Experience working within a special needs setting (preferably school)
- An in-depth understanding of ASC (working within the school's ASC base)
- Knowledge of the upper key stage 2 curriculum (essential)
