Teacher Required for 1 Year contract in 'Outstanding' school

Are you a Teacher with QTS looking for an opportunity to work in a specialist setting? Are you looking for an opportunity to work in an Ofsted graded 'outstanding' special school? A full time position for has arising for a Teacher in a specialist primary school in Radcliffe, Bury. The position is for a SEN teacher and is initially a temporary position starting in September; however this position will likely turn permanent from September 2020.

The school are looking for a Teacher who can teach a year 2/3 class for young people with Autism. The young people in this class are working at mid P-level, so it is essential that applicants have experience teaching to these criteria.

The setting is a special needs primary school in Bury and currently has 119 pupils enrolled. The school caters for pupils aged 4-11 and who have a wide range of needs including: profound and multiple learning difficulties, severe learning difficulties, and Autism Spectrum condition. In its most recent OFSTED inspection the school was graded as 'outstanding'.

To apply for this position you must be a Qualified Teacher and be able to demonstrate a genuine passion for supporting pupils with SEN. Ideally the Teacher will have experience of working within a special school; however this is not essential as long as they can demonstrate a genuine passion and commitment for supporting pupils with SEN.

To be considered for this position the Teacher will be able to demonstrate an in-depth understanding of the importance of differentiation and have the ability to assure that learning is accessible to all pupils.

The ideal Teacher will have:

• Qualified Teacher Status with extensive experience with pupils with SEN.
• A specialism in working with pupils with SEN (desirable)
• Team Teach training (desirable)
• A commitment to supporting SEN pupils in achieving their optimal potential
• An understanding of how to adapt lessons to assure that learning is accessible to all pupils
