Teaching of Performing Arts
Location: Disley
Salary: £31,650 (MPS1) - £49,084 (UPS3) per year + £2,679 SEN allowance
Closing Date: 22/07/2025
Job Type: Permanent - Full Time

Teaching Personnel have a great opportunity to work with a Special Education school based in Disley. The school specialise in providing specialist education and care for children aged 7-19 with a range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). These include autistic spectrum condition (ASC), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and social emotional and mental health needs (SEMH).

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons that engage and challenge children and young people.
  • Foster a positive learning environment that supports children and young people's educational and personal growth.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community to ensure student success.
  • Participate in school activities, extracurricular programs, and professional development opportunities.

Candidate Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a teaching degree or equivalent
  • A qualification in SEND education is desirable.
  • Experience of working with children with SEND and ASC is ideal but applications from those working in mainstream primary or secondary settings and ECTs who feel they are ready to take on a challenge are very welcome
  • Experience in teaching Performing Arts
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate children and young people.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and innovation in teaching methods.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
