Are you ready to inspire curiosity and ignite a love for science in young learners? Teaching Personnel is partnering with a forward-thinking secondary school in Basingstoke to appoint an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Teacher of Science for the 2025/26 academic year, starting in September 2025.
About the Role
This is a full-time position teaching Biology, Chemistry, and Physics across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. You’ll design lessons that combine theory with hands-on experiments, making science engaging and relevant. Alongside teaching, you’ll contribute to the wider life of the school and work closely with colleagues to ensure all students make strong progress.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Planning and delivering dynamic science lessons to inspire all learners

Using practical work to deepen students’ understanding of scientific concepts

Assessing progress and providing targeted feedback

Collaborating with the science department to share ideas and resources
Essential skills and requirements:
-
Degree in Science or a related field (desirable but not essential for unqualified applicants)

Strong classroom management skills and a proactive approach to learning

Passion for inspiring the next generation of scientists

Enhanced child workforce DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
