Teacher of Science – Basingstoke | Full-Time | Experienced Teachers Encouraged to Apply

Teaching Personnel is working closely with a well-regarded secondary school in Basingstoke to recruit an experienced Teacher of Science for a full-time, permanent position, starting ASAP. This opportunity is ideal for a confident Science teacher with excellent behaviour management skills who is passionate about delivering engaging lessons and raising attainment across Key Stages 3 and 4.

The Role

As a Teacher of Science, you will join a supportive and collaborative department, delivering high-quality lessons that engage, challenge and motivate students of all abilities. This role particularly suits an experienced teacher who brings a calm, consistent classroom presence and is confident managing behaviour to create a purposeful learning environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective Science lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Plan, prepare and adapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners
  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour, progress and attainment
  • Monitor, assess and report on pupil outcomes accurately
  • Contribute to departmental planning and whole-school improvement
  • Promote a safe, inclusive and positive classroom culture

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Be an experienced secondary Science teacher
  • Have strong subject knowledge across Biology, Chemistry and/or Physics
  • Demonstrate excellent behaviour management and classroom control
  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent qualification
  • Show a clear commitment to safeguarding and child protection
  • Be reflective, professional and committed to continuous improvement
