Exciting Opportunity: Music Teacher for Secondary School in Yateley

Position: Music Teacher
Location: Yateley, Hampshire
Start Date: September 2023
Contract: Fixed-term until Christmas, with potential for permanent position
FTE: 0.7 - Full Time (Based on candidate's preference)
About the School: Situated in the heart of Yateley, our school is dedicated to providing a well-rounded education that fosters creativity, curiosity, and a deep appreciation for the arts. As the sole specialist Music teacher, you'll play a pivotal role in inspiring students to explore the world of music and discover their unique talents. With the support of an Arts technician and a former Music teacher on staff, you'll have the resources and assistance needed to create an enriching learning environment.
Role and Responsibilities: As our Music teacher, you will primarily be responsible for teaching KS3 Music, helping students develop fundamental musical skills and a lifelong love for the subject. In addition, there's the exciting opportunity to guide a small GCSE class in Year 10. Your role will involve planning engaging lessons, delivering inspiring content, and nurturing each student's individual musical journey. You'll contribute to the school's vibrant arts community, encouraging participation in extracurricular activities and performances.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Qualified Music teachers are encouraged to apply.
- Early Career Teachers (ECTs) qualifying this year are welcome.
- Unqualified teachers with a passion for music education are also encouraged to apply.
- Safer recruitment checks, including a Safer in Education check, will be required.
