Role: Teacher of Music

Location: Brighton

Contract:  Permanent

Hours: Part Time 0.5

Salary: MPR/UPR

Start: September 2022 or before

Teaching Personnel work in partnership with a coeducational secondary academy school located in Brighton, graded ‘GOOD’ in all areas by Ofsted.  Students at the school benefit from an exceptional building and facilities, along with extensive opportunities through enrichment, Sport and creative arts.  The school are seeking a teacher of Music to join their department from September 2022 on a part time, permanent basis.  This is a fantastic opportunity for a newly qualified or more experienced teacher, to join a successful school who hold creative arts in high regard.  The school offers extensive mentoring programmes for all new staff, as well as the opportunity to complete a Master’s in education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be a confident and motivating practitioner within your subject area
  • Be consistent in the delivery of all the academy’s policies and practices
  • Support the Head of Faculty to secure high quality learning and raise standards
  • Set high expectations for all students through aspirational target setting
  • Be a role model for students through personal presentation and professional conduct
  • Perform duties in accordance with directions by the principal to ensure student safety
  • Work in accordance with current health and safety requirements, the Governing Body, DfE and Government policies

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
