We believe exceptional quality teachers can transform lives and see students achieve the best that is possible. We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Teacher of History to join this successful school in Luton, who shares a passion for teaching and the subject.

This position is full-time and supports those who wish to utilise their historical knowledge and expertise to teach students up to KS5.

This school values its beliefs and commitment to the community, and applicants should show a keen interest in how children learn in different ways, whilst inspiring them with class discussions and engaging student with interactive lessons.

As Teacher of History, you will play a key role delivering challenging and well-organised lessons, teaching with expertise and enthusiasm and using an appropriate range of interactive learning styles and resources.

About the role:

The school is proud to home a dynamic and friendly environment. The teacher would need to be enthusiastic yet be calm, caring and conscientious to help students settle into their new academic year. This full time role will involve planning and marking and be committed to make continuous improvements in student attainment and progress of the Humanities department.

The successful candidate must…
- Have excellent subject knowledge
- Have a 'can-do', positive attitude
- Value the success of the students, in preparation and throughout the GCSE period
- Have the drive to make a difference
- Confident with classroom control
- Have excellent interpersonal skills

To be considered for this role, you will be required to:
- Have a DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one.
- Be able to provide two references from the last 6 years.

In order to register with Teaching Personnel, candidates are required to have Child Workforce DBS registered on the update service. All candidates are required to complete a Safeguarding course through Teaching Personnel, or provide a relevant safeguarding certificate during your registration process.
