Teacher of History – September 2025 Start
Full-Time, Permanent Position

Teaching Personnel are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher of History to join a welcoming and thriving secondary school in the Alton area. The successful candidate will be joining a supportive Humanities department and will contribute to delivering an engaging and enriching History curriculum to students across Key Stage 3 and 4.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging, high-quality History lessons in line with the national curriculum

  • Assessing, recording, and reporting on student progress and attainment

  • Contributing to the development of curriculum materials and departmental resources

  • Participating in departmental meetings, CPD opportunities, and wider school life

  • Promoting high standards of behaviour and discipline in line with school policies

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
