Are you an English teacher seeking a long term temporary position? Would you like to work within an Ofsted graded good secondary school?

If so, please see the following details of an English teacher vacancy we are recruiting for on behalf of in the Wigan LEA;

  • Full time Teacher of English - Leading a KS3 and GCSE timetable
  • Full departmental responsibilities of planning and marking
  • High achieving English department where pupils achieve grades above the national average.
  • The ability to work across the ability range and differentiate competently.

"Due to a gap within our English department, we wish to appoint an English Teacher on a temporary basis in the first instance. We wish to appoint an English teacher who is competent delivering engaging lessons to all pupil abilities but also someone who can manage behaviour effectively through positive teaching and learning."- Head of English.

This role is due to start from October 2017 and will be for one term initially until the Christmas break. However it is likely this position could be extended until the end of the academic year for the ideal English teacher.

The school is smaller compared to most in the local area but is set to increase over the next couple of years. A recent Ofsted inspection highlighted the ambition of the Senior Leadership team and the behaviour of the pupils. Located in Leigh just a short drive from the East Lancashire road the school is easily accessible from the surrounding areas; Wigan, Bolton and Salford.

The next steps are to submit a full CV to Paul via the link below or alternatively contact the Manchester Secondary Branch for further information.
