A school in Winchester are currently seeking a Design and Technology teacher to start from May 2018 on a full time basis until the end of the academic year. This would be covering on a temporary basis. the school have also informed me that they would be interested to appoint the right candidate if the teacher were looking fro a permeant position
The right candidate must be confident in delivering practical skills of design and technology, working with resistant materials, construction, wood and metal work. Experience working with machinery in these areas is essential and with engineering background desirable
The school has been graded outstanding by OFSTED and you would be well supported by a small Design and Technology department.
The successful applicant will join a well resourced department, who have consistently achieved 'Good' rating in previous OFSTED reports. Working within a vibrant department you will be given full support, subject specific CPD opportunities and a friendly teaching environment. The School are looking to appoint a DT teacher who;
- Holds UK QTS and a PGCE in DT (or similar Subjects)
- Has experience teaching both DT subjects up to GCSE level
- Will be committed to being part of this team till the end of the academic year
All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
