Year 5 Primary School Teacher required - Purley, Croydon - October start

Location : Purley, CR8

Hours: Pay to Scale

A primary school in Purley is looking for a qualified teacher to join its team after October half term for the remainder of the academic year. This is a fantastic oppotunity for someone looking to either kick start their teaching career or look to progress in a new area in this fantastic one form emtry school

Requirements for this role

  • Plan and deliver lessons to pupils in Year 5
  • Monitor and assess student progress, offering clear and constructive feedback
  • Create an inclusive and supportive classroom culture
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and resources
  • Participate actively in ongoing professional development

Ideal candidate

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
  • Knowledge of the Key Stage 2 (ideally Year 5 curriculum) 
  • Ability to adapt teaching to meet a range of learning needs
  • Excellent understanding of the national curriculum and assessment standards
  • Confident use of technology to support learning
  • Strong communication, organisation, and teamwork skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
