Supply Teachers required in Blackburn with Darwen area

Are you currently looking for a new challenge in the new year?

Could you offer your skills on a day to day basis covering classes and delivering the Curriculum across a range of year groups?

If you are an ECT or hold a Qualified Teacher Status and have experience working recently in Primary Schools, then we may have the perfect type of work for you at Teaching Personnel.

As a Supply Teacher or Cover Teacher, you will be expected to work in a number of schools across Blackburn with Darwen. The schools will vary in distance from your house and where possible the agency will try to arrange work ‘pre-booked’, giving you the best opportunity to arrive in school on time. The further you are happy to travel the more options you will have.

Over the past term, Teaching Personnel have built strong relationships with a number of Business Managers and Head teacher’s, who are now offering a number of days supply work in the week. Due to the climate at the moment with COVID 19 we have seen an increase in day to day and sickness cover opportunities.

Working as a supply teacher is a very rewarding job and one where you can impact on learning every day, with different children. With our new Teaching Personnel app you are also in control of the days you work. Update your calendar to available and we will call you for work on them days!

You will be expected to deliver the work set by the permanent member of staff for each lesson (or prepare your own work if there isn’t anything set).

You will need to use a range of behaviour management techniques and be able to use your initiative in order to deal with varying needs and ability levels.

To conclude the working day, you will be expected to dismiss the children and leave feedback for the class teacher; specifying progress made and behaviour.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
