Job description

Teaching personnel are currently seeking a passionate and dedicate early years teacher to join a warm and welcoming early years setting in the Truro area.

Abou this role:

As an early years teacher, you will be working with children ages between 6 months to 5 years. You will be supporting their learning, development and general well being in a caring and friendly environment. This is a lovely, engaging place to work with a strong focus on providing a nurturing and inclusive environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Creating ad leading play-based learning activities
  • Monitoring and recording children’s progress
  • Create a safe and nurturing environment for the children.
  • Promoting and monitoring the children's development in language, fine motor skills, early literacy and numeracy.
  • Support individual needs and promote positive behaviour.

Requirements:

  • Level 3 qualification in early years education.
  • Have a god understanding of the EYFS
  • Have experience working with this age group
  • Understand and follow safeguarding procedures
  • Have first aid training
  • Strong communication skills.

In order to work for Teaching Personnel and clear our vetting process, you must have a Child Workforce DBS subscribed to the Update Service. Full assistance will be provided should you need to apply for a new check, at a standard cost of £49.50, plus an annual subscription fee of £16 for the Update Service.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
