Teacher for an SEMH setting required
Here at Teaching Personnel we are looking for qualified teachers who are able and eager to work with young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties (SEMH). We work closely with many schools and provisions across Sheffield who provide bespoke and individualised care for young people who are experiencing a mental health crisis or whose needs cannot be supported in community settings. Alongside working with health-care professionals that care for young people, you will be responsible for creating diverse educational programmes for each individual to help them maintain their schooling to prepare them for return to their home area.
The main aim in each provision is to create an educational setting that is nurturing, compassionate and safe to enable the pupils to grow. You will help students reach their full potential and remove as many barriers to education as possible.
Typical roles of this job may include:
- Providing pupils access to flexible and suitable education appropriate to their needs
- Facilitating the taking of exams
- Liaising with parent/careers as well as other agencies including the pupil's mainstream schools, Social Services and Medical Services
If you are enthusiastic to provide positive and effective education to individuals and are keen to work in such a rewarding environment then please do not hesitate to call Nicole on 0114 241 3341 or simply click APPLY NOW.
