Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher

Location: Northampton
Salary: Dependent on experience
Contract Type: Full time

Teaching Personnel are currently seeking a secondary teacher to work with a small group of higher-ability SEN and SEMH pupils in a specialist provision secondary school in Northampton/ surrounding areas.

The ideal candidate will have:

•            Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

•            Experience supporting children with SEN/SEMH or a keen interest to pursue this

•            A kind, caring and patient manner when working with children

•            The ability to communicate effectively with other members of staff

•            The ability to differentiate lessons to suit the needs of all children

•            Full time availability

Role Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate SEN Teacher to plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons tailored to pupils with special educational needs and disabilities. You will work closely with students, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support individual learning plans and promote positive outcomes.

As part of safer recruitment guidelines all applicants would be subject to standard vetting checks including

  • Enhanced DBS on the update service- this can be applied for through Teaching Personnel
  • 2 most recent employment references covering the last 24 months.
  • Applicants who have lived outside of the UK for 6 months or more in the last 5 years will be required to present an overseas criminal check (Police check)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
