A larger than average Primary School in Little Lever, Bolton are looking for an experienced Key Stage 2 teacher who has high expectations. The primary school has leaders and governors who work as a united team who share a common drive to uphold the high standards within the school.

This ‘outstanding’ school has a big emphasis on using information technology to enhance learning, so being confident with the use of IT and planning this into your daily routine is advantageous. Pupils do not only use technology in a discrete lesson or when earning about technology itself, they use it as a learning tool and approach across the curriculum. The school have found that through adopting anew and innovative approach to teaching an learning, they have been able to improve the efficiency, personalisation, speed and effectiveness of learning, and the children are much more engaged.

The Bolton school have also recently begun teaching through the Maths Mastery method, using some elements of the White Rose maths scheme within their planning. They have found that this is having a positive impact on the way children understand numbers. Some experience of using the Maths Mastery ideas would be beneficial but is not essential.
