We are proud to be working with a high-performing SEN school that caters to children and young people aged 2–19 with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD). With an Outstanding OFSTED rating maintained for over 21 years, the school is now looking to expand its dedicated support team with a passionate Teaching Assistant.
About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting pupils with complex needs throughout the school day. Working closely with class teachers and therapists, you will help create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
Key responsibilities include:
Providing tailored support to pupils in class, during breaks, and lunchtime activities
Assisting teachers with lesson delivery and daily classroom activities
Maintaining classroom resources and ensuring a safe, tidy learning space
Promoting independence, communication, and social interaction for all pupils
Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups, as required
What We’re Looking For:
Experience working with children with SEN, particularly PMLD and SLD (or relevant training)
A caring, patient, and proactive approach to supporting children with additional needsA genuine interest in inclusive education and a willingness to learn
Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced, rewarding environment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
