Job description
Teaching Personnel are recruiting for a passionate, skilled, and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for September roles on behalf of a vibrant and inclusive primary school in the OL8 area.
You will play a key role in supporting the class teacher in delivering high-quality education. You will provide tailored support to individual students and groups, assist with planning and delivering lessons, and contribute to the overall development of the school community. You will also support pupils with varying needs and work closely with other staff to ensure a positive learning experience for all children.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning and delivery of engaging lessons under the guidance of the class teacher.
- Provide targeted support for students with special educational needs (SEN) and/or other additional needs.
- Help maintain a positive classroom environment conducive to effective learning.
- Work with small groups or individuals to reinforce learning and enhance understanding.
- Support the emotional and social development of students, fostering positive relationships.
- Assist with assessments and record-keeping as required by the teacher.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create and implement strategies that support student progress.
- Promote and maintain high standards of behavior and achievement.
Skills and Experience:
- HLTA qualification (or equivalent) is essential.
- Experience working in a primary school setting, ideally in a similar HLTA role.
- Strong understanding of the primary curriculum and SEN provision.
- Ability to support students with varying needs in a positive, empathetic, and effective manner.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- A commitment to promoting the well-being and safeguarding of all students.
- Passionate about making a difference in the lives of children.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
