About the School and role:

Teaching Personnel are looking for a PMLD LSA with experience working with a range of severe SEN difficulties. If you are looking for work in the Chelmsford area and would like to make a positive difference to student's lives then we would love to hear from you.

  • We are looking for LSA's to work in a Chelmsford based special provision for students with a range of complex difficulties including profound and multiple learning difficulties.
  • This is initially a years contract but could lead to a permanent role for the right candidate.
  • The provision is for further education students who are 17 years and older.

Contract Details for the PMLD LSA role:

  • Location - Chelmsford
  • Position - PMLD LSA
  • Type of work - Supporting students with PMLD
  • Start date - September 2019
  • Contract type - Temporary
  • Full time/part time - Full time, Monday to Friday, 8.45am - 3.15pm
  • Minimum rate of pay - £65 per day (£10ph)

Experience, Training and Qualifications required for the PMLD LSA role:

  • Previous LSA experience is desirable, ideally within the SEN Sector, although this is not essential providing you have the right attitude and desire.
  • Experience supporting either children or adults with SLD / PMLD.
  • Pro Active in the classroom and a willingness to join in with class activities.
  • You should have lots of energy and enthusiasm with a positive attitude towards working with SEN students.
  • Comfortable supporting students with personal care

To be eligible for the PMLD LSA role through Teaching Personnel you must:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child or child and adult barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional references
