The Role
As the UK'S leading teaching agency, we work with various special educational needs schools around Manchester and Greater Manchester, are regularly need Teaching Assistant support for children with additional needs.
Due to the nature of the students needs, some may have difficulty with mobility as a direct impact of physical disability and will need support assistants to help them throughout the day.
As a Teaching Assistant , you will support a student throughout their daily timetable, accompanying them to lessons, activities and around the school. You would be required to assist with any fine motor issues they may have such as writing and holding objects and any personal care needs they may have.
This type of role is very rewarding as you are helping disadvantaged students gain the best experience possible whilst at school. The role can be available as day to day supply, short or long term contracts and can even become a permanent role.
You
Ideally, a knowledge or familiarity with Special needs or in care/support work would be beneficial to hit the ground running in this role, however if you don't have this experience we are open to all applicants who have the right attitude towards the role.
Please be aware that all applicants MUST have an enhanced, child workforce DBS which is registered to the update service, or be willing to obtain one.
