Teaching Personnel are recruiting on behalf of multiple schools in the area who cater for children between the ages of 4-19. All schools cater for children with special educational needs (SEN) so you could be asked to support students with:
- Autism (ASC)
- ADHD
- Learning Difficulties (MLD, SLD)
- Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)
- Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH)
- Speech and Language Difficulties
- Physical disabilities
In some schools, you may be asked to support students with personal care but this is not essential. We support many schools where this is not a requirement and wouldn’t expect you to do this if you were not comfortable.
Your role as a TA can make a transformative difference in a child’s educational journey, helping them develop the confidence, skills, and independence they need to succeed.
Some key aspects of your role will include:
- Building trust and rapport
- Breaking down tasks and simplifying instructions to help students focus
- Promoting independence
- Managing behavioural challenges
We are looking for applicants who:
- Have experience supporting children or adults with special needs
- Are patient and resilient
- Show empathy and compassion
- Are flexible and adaptable
- Have a good sense of humour and don’t take themselves to seriously

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
