Supply Teaching Assistant
Are you a caring, adaptable individual with a passion for supporting children with additional needs?
A well-regarded primary SEN school in Poole is seeking a part-time Supply Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team from September 2025.
The school provides specialist support to pupils aged 4 to 11 with a variety of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties.
This role is ideal for someone looking to make a meaningful impact in a nurturing and supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Supporting pupils with SEN on a one-to-one basis or in small groups

Assisting the class teacher in delivering engaging and tailored learning activities
-
Encouraging emotional, social, and academic development
-
Promoting a calm and inclusive classroom environment
-
Collaborating with teaching staff and external professionals
Person Specification:
-
Experience working with children or in a care/education setting (desirable)
-
Calm, patient and enthusiastic approach to supporting learning
-
Flexible and reliable, with a positive attitude
-
DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
