Supply Teachers Needed in Southampton - Guaranteed work Scheme!

Teaching Personnel are currently working with numerous schools across the Southampton area who are currently requiring day to day supply teachers to be able to cover short term teacher absences. The Southampton based secondary schools are looking for qualified and unqualified teachers who are happy to teach a range of subjects. No extensive specific subject knowledge is required however it would be advantageous if you was to have a specific subject specialism.

Teaching Personnel have fantastic relationships with a range of schools which have different needs that may be maternity, PPA, training or sickness cover. The successful candidates will be able to commute to the majority of Southampton Secondary schools whether that be via public transport or private travel.

As a Teaching Personnel Supply Teacher you will hold the following responsibilities:

  • Delivering pre planned work to the class whilst covering a wide range of subjects, dependent on the needs of the school on the day.
  • Ensuring the schools behaviour policy is adhered to through effective behaviour management techniques.
  • Assisting the pupils with any work related questions they have as well as supporting with any additional needs, for example any SEN or behaviour related issues.
  • Reporting back to the head of department of progress of pupils within the class.
