Supply teacher - Wigan Catholic Schools

Are you looking for flexible teaching work within the Wigan area? Are you looking for full time or part time supply work and would like to work within schools where pupil behaviour is described as good or outstanding?

Teaching Personnel are currently the preferred supply agency to the schools within the Liverpool Archdiocese. Due to an increase in cover requirements, a number of our catholic secondary schools in the Wigan authority wish to expand their pool of supply teachers.

  • Supply teachers required for daily/weekly cover requirements
  • Opportunity to work within a number of high achieving secondary schools in Wigan
  • Earn up to £600 per week (experience dependant and position undertaken)
  • Market leading education agency situated in Central Manchester, Lancashire and Wigan

Our 5 client schools located in Orrell, Ashton in Makerfield, Astley and Springfield all achieve excellent results well above the national average and have an excellent reputation for pupils behaving in a conscientious and respectable manner. As a supply teacher within these schools you will have the opportunity to teach rather than just manage behaviour.

Any teachers interested in this opportunity are required to;

  • Hold a PGCE (11-16 or further education accepted)
  • Ideally have their own form of transport (Not essential but preferable due to some schools requesting staff at short notice)
  • Respect the catholic ethos

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
