Classroom Assistant Required

At Teaching Personnel we are working closely with a Primary school in the Slisbury area that has asked us to recruit Classroom Assistant/teaching assistant. The role will be supporting the needs of KS2 students. The successful candidate will work alongside the teacher to the deliver the lessons with a caring and positive attitude. The position will begin after the Easter Holliday and run for the remainder of the academic year. Although this is a temporary position, the school has indicated there is scope to move into a permanent position with them.
What does it take to be a Classroom Assistant?
- Passion for education
- Patience and understanding
- No formal educational qualifications necessary
- Minimum 5 GCSEs in core subjects
- Enhanced DBS Certificate available on the Update service (Teaching Personnel can assist)
Job role:
- Working within several classes on a day-to-day basis.
- Reading or explaining tasks to students, understanding, and supporting their needs and keeping students focused on their tasks.
- Manage challenging behaviours.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
