Job Title: Behaviour Support Assistant

Job Duties:

• Provide support to students with challenging behaviours in a classroom setting
• Implement behaviour management strategies and interventions as directed by the lead teacher or behaviour specialist
• Assist in developing and maintaining individualised behaviour support plans
• Monitor and document student behaviour and progress
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student needs

Required Qualifications:

• GCSEs or equivalent qualifications in English and Maths
• Experience working with individuals with behavioural challenges
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Education:

Minimum of GCSEs or equivalent

Experience:

Previous experience working with individuals with challenging behaviours

Knowledge and Skills:

• Understanding of behaviour management techniques
• Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations
• Excellent observational and documentation skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Level 3 qualification in a relevant field (e.g., Teaching Assistant, Special Education Needs)
• Training in behaviour management strategies

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
