SEND Supply Teachers – Short Term & Long Term Opportunities

Location: County Durham
Start Date: Immediate and Ongoing
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

We are currently recruiting SEND Supply Teachers for a range of short-term, long-term and potential permanent placements in specialist schools across County Durham.

Whether you’re seeking the variety of daily supply or the consistency of a longer-term role, we’ll work with you to find placements that match your experience, preferences, and availability.

As an SEND Supply Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching and support to pupils with a range of special educational needs (e.g. Autism, ADHD, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and PMLD).

  • Adapt lessons to meet individual learning styles and abilities.

  • Work closely with support staff and SENCOs to promote engagement and progress.

  • Create a safe, inclusive and inspiring classroom environment.

We’re looking for teachers who:

  • Hold QTS/QTLS (or equivalent overseas qualification).

  • Have experience working with pupils with additional needs.

  • Are flexible, reliable, and passionate about making a difference.

  • Are open to short-term or long-term placements depending on preference.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
