Job title: Cover Supervisor 

Company: Teaching Personnel

Start date: ASAP

The roles and responsibilities of a Cover Supervisor are varied and differ between schools, however your role would typically include:

•              Getting the classroom ready for lessons

•              Setting up Microsoft teams for absent teachers to deliver lessons virtually

•              Delivering pre-prepared lessons in an engaging manner

•              Helping children who need extra support to complete tasks

•              Managing class behaviour

•              Supervising group activities

•              Clearing away materials and equipment after lessons

•              Carrying out administrative tasks

What we are looking for:

•              No prior teaching experience required however experience working with children is preferred

•              A genuine desire to improve the educational outcomes of every pupil you work with

•              An ability to build good working relationships with both pupils and adults.

•              Are available for a minimum of 2 days per week.

•              Good literacy and numeracy skills

•              Willingness to get involved across any subjects

•              Good behaviour management

•              Child workforce DBS on the update service (if you do not already have one, we can help you apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
