Cover supervisors needed for Barnsley secondary schools to cover absent teachers and support staff. Cover supervisors take on the role of an absent teacher for the day, delivering set lessons left by the permanent member of staff. A cover supervisors responsibilities are to ensure students remain on task completing set work, are behaving in line with the schools policies providing you with first hand secondary school teaching experience.
If you are interested in becoming a cover supervisor and currently work in the sports, youth work or health care settings you would be well suited to this role. Teaching Personnel currently support secondary schools throughout Barnsley meaning we will be able to provide you with regular and flexible cover supervisor work.
Highlights of working as a cover supervisor for teaching personnel;
- Weekly pay paid on a daily basis £325-£375 per week
- Teaching in a wide range of secondary schools
- Access to Teaching Personnel's CPD and training academy
- Providing experience to support a teacher training application
To be eligible for the role of a cover supervisor you will need to have an ability to engage students across the ages of 11-16. We will require suitable work based, character or educational references, some form of experience or knowledge of working with young people and be eligible for a fully enhanced DBS certificate.
