Pupil Premium Student Support Mentor

Full Time (Term time only)

Salary: GBP18,933 - GBP19,641 fte (Actual: GBP16,195 - GBP16,801)

The North Hampshire based school is looking to appoint a Pupil Premium Student Support Mentor for when schools reopen. The successful candidate will work with a range of students in receipt of the Pupil Premium Grant to help overcome barriers and raise their achievement across all subject areas, especially core subjects of English and Maths.  With an overall Ofsted rating of ‘Good’, the school is a positive learning environment carrying the ethos ‘Every child, every classroom, everyday achieving excellence’. The successful candidate will need very good interpersonal skills and be confident in dealing with students, this is an exciting opportunity to work with some of the schools most disadvantaged students to raise confidence and have a positive impact on their learning and wellbeing.

Ideally you will:

  • Be confident in your ability to provide class support, 1 to 1 or with small group with, identifying specific interventions to support the students
  • Have a good understanding of potential barriers to successful learning
  • Celebrate success in learning and build high expectations for all students, irrespective of their background.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
