Day Rate: £100 - £120 a day (dependent on experience and qualifications)
Job Description:
Are you a calm, caring and resilient individual with a passion for supporting children with additional needs? A vibrant and inclusive primary school in Milton Keynes is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their Specialist Resource Provision (SRP) from September 2025.
This is a rewarding role supporting pupils with a range of SEN, SEND and SEMH needs, helping them access learning and navigate the school day in a positive and structured environment. You’ll be working closely with a skilled and nurturing team, making a real difference every day.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver targeted 1:1 and small group support for pupils within the SRP unit.
- Promote emotional regulation, positive behaviour and social interaction skills.
- Adapt learning tasks to meet individual EHCP goals and needs.
- Work closely with class teachers, SENCO and external professionals to ensure high-quality provision.
- Support children both in the SRP and mainstream classroom where appropriate.
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.
Requirements:
- Experience supporting children with SEN, SEND and/or SEMH in a primary setting.
- A calm, empathetic and consistent approach to behaviour and wellbeing support.
- Flexibility and resilience to meet the varied needs of the SRP cohort.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Commitment to ongoing training and professional development.
- A genuine passion for helping children overcome barriers and achieve their potential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
