Teaching Assistant – Sports Focus (Carmarthen Area)
Full-time and Part-time opportunities available

This is an exciting opportunity to support pupils both inside and outside the classroom, helping to inspire learning through sport and active engagement.
About the Role
As a Teaching Assistant with a focus on sports, you will:

Support pupils in both classroom learning and practical sports activities.

Assist in delivering indoor and outdoor education sessions.
-
Accompany and support pupils on offsite trips and activities.
-
Encourage participation, teamwork, and personal development through sport.
-
Provide 1:1 and small group support to help pupils meet their learning goals.
-
Work closely with teaching staff to ensure a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment.
-
Uphold safeguarding and child protection standards at all times.
Requirements
-
A strong interest or experience in sports, coaching, or physical education.
-
Previous experience working with children or young people (desirable but not essential).

Full UK driving licence and access to transport.
-
A clear understanding of safeguarding in education.
-
Flexibility and willingness to support a range of activities both in and out of the classroom.

Full-time availability is preferred, but part-time opportunities are also available.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
