Sports Graduate Teaching Assistant - York

Are you a recent Sports Graduate looking to gain experience in the Education sector?
Are you considering a career as a PE Teacher and want to make sure it's the right route for you?

The Job Role:

  • Supporting Primary and Secondary students in all curriculum areas
  • Working 1:1 with identified pupils, in order to encourage participation
  • Managing behaviour in-line with the School's Positive Reward policy
  • Assisting class teachers with the delivery of English, Maths and Science
  • Engaging pupils in whole School life by establishing positive relationships and rapport

Ideal Requirements:

  • A Degree in Sports Coaching or Sports Science - 2:1 or higher ideally
  • Experience supporting pupils in a classroom or coaching environment
  • Knowledge of the national curriculum in order to support Key Stage 3 and GCSE lessons
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Full Time availability, Monday to Friday 0830-1530
