The Lead Practitioner who is responsible for overseeing trainee teachers and recruitment of graduates who are looking into a career in teaching, has approached Teaching Personnel to recruit a number of graduates to start a graduate placement in her school.

Teaching Personnel runs a programme called Future Teachers, which gives you PAID experience within a secondary school setting – with no previous teaching experience needed. All you need is a degree, great knowledge of your specialist subject and a passion for young people’s future.

Typical responsibilities:

• Supporting pupils who struggle to engage within lessons and require additional support within their studies
• Provide KS3 and GCSE PE classes
• Lead after school sports activities 
• Track and monitor the progress made by pupils within sessions and feedback to senior management
• There will be opportunities to cover lessons with support from senior leaders within the school

Future Teachers Programme: The programme is designed in partnership with Teaching Personnel. The successful graduates will complete 12 months (Academic year) working within the school completing a range of roles including Supporting Teachers in class, leading small groups in your specialist subjects, monitoring pupil progress and attainment and reporting to class teachers. Upon completing the initial 12 month position the Graduates will then start on the school direct teacher training at one of the partnered schools with the view to becoming an outstanding Teacher.
