Attention Sports Graduates!

Teaching Personnel are recruiting in the Leyland and Chorley areas for Sports Graduates to support secondary schools with coaching sports and promoting the general well-being of individual pupils.

These posts are to begin in January 2024, and will be a full-time contract for initially one-term, but have the ability to increase due to candidate performance.

The successful candidates should have a high level of experience in playing or coaching any of these key sports: Netball, Hockey, Cricket, Football, Rugby or Swimming. You will be required to take part in sports programmes throughout the week, supporting the Heads of Departments with sporting fixtures, both home and away.

This is a valuable opportunity for you to be a key contributor to providing an enriching learning experience for pupils across Blackburn and is an excellent chance to provide you with experience in a school environment should you wish to pursue a career in teaching.

The successful candidates should demonstrate:

  • Good team working and communication skills
  • An interest in working with young people
  • Be resourceful and self-directed
  • Be flexible in approach and willing to take on other duties as required
  • Be forward thinking and proactive

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
