Sports Coaches for Schools
Rate: Starts at £90 per day
Pay: Weekly, every Friday
Hours: 08:30 – 15:30 (Term time only)
Location: Cardiff
Teaching Personnel are recruiting a bank of talented and dynamic individuals to support and inspire learners. These candidates will have an array of sporting experiences and ideally a coaching qualification. Sports people, especially coaches, posses many attributes that make excellent educators in a variety of roles within schools.
Roles available:
Teaching Assistants – Supporting pupils on a group and 1:1 basis throughout their lessons, ensuring they maintain focus and understand the task set for them by the teacher. This could be across English, Maths, Science, PE and or Arts / Crafts!
Some of the key characteristics of high-quality TA’s include:
- Effective communicators
- Confident in front of people and children
- Organised and effective planners
- Problem solvers
- Able to engage children’s interests and work through praise
It is commonplace that sports coaches who become TA’s gain essential school experience to enhance their PGCE applications, particularly for Physical Education. Sport-minded TA’s are highly sought after in primary and secondary schools as they are keen to be involved with the PE department in assisting with fixtures and trainings for the many sports that pupils engage in throughout a school year.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
