We have a role within one of our partner schools which is ideal for a sports coach or someone with sports coaching experience. It is to work within a Caerphilly secondary school assisting small groups and 1:1 with children who need that extra support. Sports coaching experience is ideal for this role as the skills and attributes are very transferable to be a teaching assistant, and has proved highly successful in the past.

The school, which is situated in Caerphilly is a mixed 11-18 comprehensive which benefits from outstanding facilities. They enforce a strict behaviour management programme to ensure the student’s focus is on learning. Sports coaching experience will enable the right candidate to enforce this behaviour management and keep the student engaged in their learning. A sports coach is also required as there is a lot of down time for the students where sports is used a calming and distraction tool.
