Sports Coach Teaching Assistant - Scarborough, North Yorkshire

Are you a qualified Sports Coach? Do you have a Sport and Exercise Degree? We have a fantastic opportunity to work within alternative provisions in the Scarborough and North Yorkshire area. We work with Schools that are dedicated to providing education to individuals outside of mainstream education. Whether you have direct experience or not, this could be a suitable position if you are looking to begin a career in the education sector.

Role:

  • You will work with vulnerable young individuals
  • Supporting the delivery of all lessons and helping to engage students
  • Behavioural management
  • Child development
  • Coaching a variety of different sports
  • Age range 2-16 year olds
  • Monday to Friday (8.30am to 3.30pm)

Ideal candidate requirements:

  • A degree in sports coaching or experience in a coaching environment
  • Good communication skills
  • Team Teach training
  • Autism Awareness Training
  • De-Escalation techniques

Benefits:

  • Full time position including holiday pay
  • Minimum of £9.50 an hour, paid by Teaching Personnel's payroll system every Friday

  • Opportunity for gaining a permanent contract
