Level 2 Teaching Assistant – Full Time
Location: Todmorden
Contract: Full Time, Fixed Term (October – July)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm
We are seeking an experienced Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Todmorden from October through to July.
This is a full-time role supporting pupils across the school, with a particular focus on children with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). The successful candidate will be confident working with pupils with a range of additional needs and committed to helping every child reach their full potential.
The successful candidate will have:
- A Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
- Proven experience delivering and supporting phonics interventions.
- Previous experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
- Experience working with pupils who have EHCPs.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A patient, nurturing and proactive approach to supporting learning.
The role includes:
- Providing one-to-one and small group support for pupils with additional needs.
- Delivering phonics interventions to support early reading development.
- Supporting children with EHCPs both academically and emotionally.
- Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored learning strategies.
- Promoting a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
