Position: Science Teacher
Location: Tamworth, United Kingdom
Start Date: September 2023

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Science Teacher to join the Science Department at our reputable client secondary school in Filey. As a Science Teacher, you will have the opportunity to inspire and educate students in the fascinating world of science, fostering their curiosity and passion for learning.

Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging science lessons that align with the national curriculum
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and promotes independent thinking
- Assess and evaluate student progress through regular formative and summative assessments
- Provide constructive feedback to students to support their academic growth and development
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative teaching strategies and resources
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, achievements, and behavior
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress and any concerns
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and school events as required

Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification
- A degree in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Physics)
- Strong subject knowledge across the sciences
- Experience teaching science at the secondary level is desirable but not essential for NQTs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to engage and motivate students of diverse abilities and backgrounds
- Commitment to continuous professional development

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
