 Sports Coach Wanted – Teaching Assistant Role in Abergavenny Primary School!

Location: Abergavenny, NP7
Position Type: Full-Time (via Teaching Personnel)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:00pm
Start Date: September 2025 – July 2026

A vibrant primary school in Abergavenny is seeking a sports-minded Teaching Assistant to bring their coaching skills into the classroom. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in pupils’ lives while continuing your love for sport through lunchtime and after-school clubs.

‍♂️ The Role:

  • Support pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural needs both in the classroom and outdoors.
  • Assist teachers with lesson delivery, especially in PE and physical activities.
  • Promote a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment.
  • Be a positive role model for pupils aged 8–11, some of whom may have complex behavioural needs.

✅ Ideal Candidate:

  • Background in sports coaching, youth work, or physical education.
  • Experience working with children or young people, especially in behaviour support.
  • Strong communication skills, resilience, and a collaborative mindset.
  • Calm, patient, and able to build strong relationships with pupils.
