ATTENTION JOB SEEKERS! Have I got a position for you…

  • Extremely rewarding
  • No two days the same
  • A fresh challenge
  • Excellent support and training provided by the school
  • 5-10 pupils per class

In partnership with a small alternative schooling provision near Kings Lynn, we are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant with a background or passion for Sports and Outdoor Activities.

The pupils at the school often display very challenging behaviour as well as both physical and verbal aggression. Your role will be to build rapport and good relationships with each student you work with, to develop trust and mutual respect. In turn, pupils will engage with class work and show more of an interest in their learning and development – a huge accomplishment and extremely rewarding position for the successful applicant to be in.

SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) experience is not essential, but would be desirable and so this position would be suitable for Mental Health Support Workers and Counsellors looking to make the transition into teaching/working in schools.

We always encourage applications from graduates, particularly those with an interest in Sports and/or Psychology for this position as it would be hugely beneficial to working with SEND children.

Many pupils have been statemented with ADHD and have EHCP’s in place. These students show an interest in high energy activities such as Physical Education, Outdoor Activities and Sports in general. Is this something you could get involved with and enjoy at the same time?

The provision are ideally looking for permanent members of staff on a full-time basis, the successful applicant will be placed onto a temporary to permanent contract and will move onto a permanent contract once a successful probationary period has been carried out with Teaching Personnel.

Are you intrigued to find out more? We are currently arranging interviews with the Head Teacher, so please call us ASAP if you would like to be put forward! All CVs can be sent to sophia.binns@teachingpersonnel.com

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see teachingpersonnel.com/faqs for details.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.

Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We offer all our registered candidates FREE child protection and prevent duty training. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
