We are looking for a teaching assistant who has a sport based background and wanting to pursue a career of working with children and young people with challenging behaviours.
The job it's self require a strong teaching assistant to support pupils in small groups and/or 1:1 support both in a classroom setting and off site supporting different learning based activities. This is a rewarding position, yet challenging. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of children with Social Emotional and Mental Health either professionally or in the home environment.
The desired candidate will have extensive experience of working with children and young people in or out of education. If you have experience of working with children and young people with additional needs or behavioural issues then this will strengthen your application for the roles.
These roles may require you to go out on different activities with the children to engage them with different curriculum based learning set out for their individual needs. This requires the candidates to be able to drive with access to their own vehicle.
A DBS is needed in child workforce only. As part of our vetting requirements your DBS needs to be on the Update Service. If you do not have either of these then do not hesitate to contact us as we can help you to go through the application process.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
