Job Title: Speech and Language Therapist
Location: Yateley, Hampshire
Salary: £30,000 – £38,000 per annum
Contract: Full-time, permanent
A small independent specialist setting in Hampshire, designed to support young people whose learning and communication needs require a more tailored approach, is currrently looking for a Speech and Language Therapist to start work with them as soon as possible. Nestled in a semi-rural location, the site combines strong pastoral care, small classes and a calming environment with access to woodland and outdoor space.
The children and young people placed within the specialist provision present with a range of additional needs including autism spectrum conditions, ADHD, anxiety, communication and interaction difficulties, and specific speech, language and learning challenges. Support is provided via highly-trained staff, integrated therapeutic services (including speech and language and occupational therapy) and a bespoke curriculum pathway, so that every learner is helped to grow in independence, confidence and achievement.
The successful candidate will be a motivated and qualified Speech and Language Therapist who is passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people. They will join a warm, nurturing team within a small, inclusive independent school that prioritises creativity, individual growth and meaningful support for all students.
Key Responsibilities:

Assess and identify the speech, language and communication needs of students across primary and secondary age groups.

Develop and implement individualised therapy plans.

Deliver one-to-one and small-group sessions.

Provide training, advice and classroom strategies for staff.

Contribute to multidisciplinary planning around student wellbeing.

Maintain accurate records and reports for families and external agencies.
Requirements:

Qualified Speech and Language Therapist with registration from the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

Experience of working with children and young people, ideally in an educational setting.

Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, flexible approach.

Commitment to inclusive practice and student-centred support.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
