Speech and Language support needed in South Manchester, M20
Do you have experience supporting children struggling with early communication?
Could you utilise your Speech and Language skills within a large South Manchester primary school?
Are you looking for a new challenge that will offer you diverse day to day challaenges and broaden your education experience?
Due to a large in take of children within the EYFS unit, a two form entry Primary school in South Manchester are looking to take on a Learning Support Assistant with previous experience working with children that have limited or difficulties with Communication and Language.
The school has a large percentage of children on the SEN register and the children start school below national average in terms of their learning development. With this in mind, the school requires a member of staff to work along the Literacy co-ordinator and SENCO to help implement strategies to raise attainment and verbal communication for children in EYFS and KS1 with language difficulties or barriers.
The school is part of a Multi Academy Trust and recently obtained 'Good' with outstanding features from OFSTED. The school prides itself on the fantastic reputation built from the work they does with the community and the end of KS1 and 2 results last year.
To apply for this role you must have experience working with children with specific language needs and have relevant qualifications to support this.
The role is full time to start as soon as possible. The school have a constant need for Speech and Language support so will be looking to appoint immediately up until the end of the academic year, to then review for September.
All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
