Job description

Special Needs Teaching Assistants – Andover, Hampshire

Specialist schools and alternative provisions in Andover and the surrounding area are seeking dedicated, patient, and compassionate individuals to join their teams as Special Needs Teaching Assistants (SEN TAs). Opportunities are available across a range of SEN and SEMH settings, supporting children and young people with additional needs such as autism, learning difficulties, communication challenges, and social, emotional, or behavioural needs.

Key Details

  • Full-time and part-time positions available

  • Term-time only

  • Training and ongoing support provided

  • Pay dependent on experience and specific setting

  • Location: Andover and surrounding areas

Applicants should be reliable, caring, and committed to supporting the learning and personal development of children and young people. While experience in education, care, or youth work is beneficial, it is not essential for those who demonstrate a strong willingness to learn and a positive approach to supporting others.

Requirements

  • Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain)

  • Right to work in the UK

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
