Specialist Support Staff - Slough

Job description

We are currently working with a Special Needs School based in Slough who has asked Teaching Personnel to assist in their search for numerous Teaching Assistants to support pupils in Early Years, Primary, Secondary and/or Post 16 with:

  • Autism
  • Moderate Learning Disabilities
  • Physical Disabilities
  • Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities
  • Specific Learning Difficulties
  • Specific Learning Disabilities
  • Hearing Impaired
  • Visually Impaired
  • ADHD
  • Severe Learning Disabilities.

The ideal candidate would have previous experience working with similar needs or be passionate about working in this type of school. Candidates that are suited for this type of school tend to have experience in some of the following:

  • Youth Work/Support Work
  • Psychology qualification
  • Care work
  • Teaching Assistant in Mainstream or Special Needs
  • Graduates looking to get in to teaching
  • Personal experience with Special Needs
  • Nursery work
  • Nanny/ Au Pair
  • Residential Support Work
  • Outreach Work

Candidates are require to work Monday to Friday 8.30am-3.30pm.

Candidates need to be:

  • Strong with behaviour management
  • Patient and Resilient
  • Comfortable delivering personal care – required more in EYS and Primary
  • Experienced working with children and/or adults with Special Needs
