Special Needs Teacher - Scarborough

I am working with a special school in Scarborough, who are looking for a Primary SEN Teacher, to work with children with complex and additional needs, including SLD, PMLD and SLCN. The students require personalised learning plans, for which you will be responsible for planning and tracking their progress. If you have experience within this field, or with P-Scales, it would be advantageous.

The School are based in Scarborough and have a number of upcoming absences, including maternity leaves and sickness. In their February 2015 OFSTED, were graded as ‘Good’. The Senior Leadership Team is very supportive and motivating, promoting a positive learning environment. The School have students in from 0900 to 1500 daily, with at least a 30 minute break.

As the ideal candidate you will need to hold the following qualifications and personality traits:

  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • A Degree related to the Education Sector
  • Proven track record of increasing attainment levels via SATs boosters, Phonics sessions or personal successes with SEN students
  • Be able to provide a stable 6 year career history and reference details
  • Be open minded and charismatic
  • Have a positive outlook and actively promote positive, hands on learning
