Job Opportunity: SEN (Autism) Teacher – Penzance, Cornwall
Location: Penzance, Cornwall
Start Date: September 2025
Salary: £120 – £140 per day (depending on experience)
Contract: Full-time or Part-time, Permanent

Teaching Personnel is delighted to be working with a specialist SEN school in Penzance. They are now seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher to join their team this September.
✨ The Role:

Plan and deliver tailored lessons for pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
-
Adapt resources to meet individual EHCP targets
-
Collaborate with SENCOs, therapists, and teaching assistants to provide holistic support
-
Create a structured, inclusive, and safe learning environment
-
Use behaviour management strategies that prioritise wellbeing and progress
The Ideal Candidate:
-
Holds QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent
-
Experience supporting children with Autism (ASC), ideally in a specialist or SEN setting
-
Knowledge of strategies such as TEACCH, PECS, or Makaton
-
Confident in classroom management and working within a multi-disciplinary team
-
Empathetic, resilient, and committed to making a difference every day
